This Privacy Policy describes how BreatheHome (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you
use our iOS application. BreatheHome is published by the developer of the
com.vijayesh.das.BreatheHome app on the App Store.
Summary
- Your household data (lists, tasks, calendar, meals, subscriptions) is stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, synced to your private iCloud account via Apple CloudKit.
- Chat conversations are not synced via iCloud and remain on the device where they were created.
- We do not sell your personal data. We do not run third-party advertising analytics in the app.
Information you provide
You may enter or generate:
- Grocery items, tasks, calendar events, meal plans, and subscription details
- Messages to the in-app assistant (Breather)
- An optional display name during onboarding
- Voice input when you use dictation in chat (processed by Apple’s speech APIs on device)
How data is stored
- On-device storage: Data is kept in the app’s local database on your iPhone or iPad.
- iCloud (optional): If you are signed in to iCloud, household data syncs through Apple’s CloudKit to containers associated with your Apple ID. Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy apply to that sync.
- Chat history: Stored locally only; not uploaded to our servers and not included in CloudKit sync.
Apple services
The app may use Apple-provided capabilities, including:
- iCloud / CloudKit — sync of household data across your devices
- Apple Intelligence / Foundation Models — on-device intent understanding and natural language when available
- Speech recognition & microphone — only when you initiate dictation
- Push notifications — optional event and subscription reminders
- Background processing — CloudKit-related background tasks scheduled by the system
Apple processes these features according to its own privacy policies.
What we do not collect
- We do not operate a separate backend that stores your household content on our servers.
- We do not use third-party ad networks or cross-app tracking in BreatheHome.
- We do not require an account other than your Apple ID for iCloud (optional).
Data retention & deletion
- Deleting the app removes local data on that device.
- iCloud data may remain in your iCloud account until you delete it from the app or manage storage in iOS Settings.
- You can delete individual chat sessions from the chat history screen in the app.
Children
BreatheHome is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
